Fine Art Photographer

Steve Shelly’s love of Photography and Fine Art have produced a variety of compelling images which creatively explore light, and texture, with interesting compositions and unique subject matter. Studying in Europe and England and travel to Hong Kong, Israel, Mexico, Canada and many of the wonderful cities and wilderness areas of the world has given these images a breath of experience and delight.

framing-setup

Given a camera at 9 and building a darkroom with his fathers help at age 12, Steve developed a deep and lasting relationship with the magic of the photographic process. This was later enhanced with a Bachelors degree and Masters work in Fine Art and Photography. Using the 4×5 view camera, Hasselblad, Minolta and Rolliflex medium format; and Nikon SLR cameras, this vision and passion has portrayed images of mountains, waterfalls, snow, ocean, city, rural, underwater and calming desert scenes all with a desire to find the essence and simple truth of each location and subject matter.
